Swindon Robins don’t have enough depth to beat the Brummies

Josh Auty’s tally of 10+2 helped the Birmingham Brummies comfortably beat Swindon Robins 52-44, turning around a run of four consecutive defeats to the Robins at Perry Barr.

Auty’s 12-point tally at reserve was largely matched by Martin Smolinski and, despite the efforts of returning Hans Andersen with an impressive 15+1, Birmingham were able to move within two points of Wolverhampton Wolves.

Brummies boss Phil Morris said: “The whole team was on fire and if anything I’d expected it to be closer. Josh thoroughly deserved the rider of the night award with his paid-12 points showing some true British grit with some battling performances.”
