Results 25/9/12 – Chelsea crush Wolves in the Capital One Cup

Alas, after spoiling you for two days with photos of grinning champions holding their trophies aloft, I have nothing for you today. Not because British competitors have come up short – it’s simply because no competitions that we appeared in finished yesterday! Or because we’d been knocked out long before the final. Never mind, as there have been significant wins in darts and football, not to mention a glut of UK winners in the Asian PTC event.

Hopefully the picture front changes tomorrow as England’s netballers hope to finish how they started and win the series against Jamaica. I’ll have it all for you when it happens!

Tuesday’s Top Performers

* Chelsea – There may be a division’s difference, but the European champions still swept Wolves aside with a 6-0 win.
* Wes Newton – After eight games of darts in one day, Wes Newton won the first group in the Championship League
* Robert Milkins – One of three snooker players to win 4 frames to 0, Milkins beat Wales’ Daniel Wells to go through.
* Alison Waters – Booked her place in the qualifying win of the latest squash tournament with a straight sets win.
* Gibraltar men’s hockey team – Defied my expectations by beating Morocco to go second in the R1 World League. Scotland play today.
